Gregor Brown has been named in Scotland's 45-man squad for the Autumn Nations Series following his debut against Canada during the summer tests.

The Aberdonian, who spent time in Nigeria and Egypt in his childhood before returning to the Granite City, has been selected by head coach Gregor Townsend for their four fixtures next month.

Scotland will welcome Fiji, South Africa, Portugal and Australia to Murrayfield, with the hosts looking to put in a strong showing after an unbeaten summer tour of the Americas.

Brown made his debut in the 73-12 thrashing of Canada as a new-look side scored 11 tries to thump the Canadians in Ottawa.

The 23-year-old could now work his way to his first home start, with Scotland first taking on Fiji in next weekend's series opener.

A former Robert Gordon’s College pupil, Brown has featured for Gordonians and Boroughmuir Bears before becoming a stage three academy player with Glasgow Warriors.

He signed his first professional contract with the United Rugby Championship side in 2022, and was able to soak up the URC title celebrations when Glasgow downed the Bulls in South Africa.

Brown was also previously selected to train with the Scotland squad during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
