Patrick Ngwaogu insists that Abia Warriors target remains clinching a top four finish in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season.

After securing a 2-0 victory over Wikki Tourist in midweek, the Ucendu Babes ended the first half of the ongoing campaign in the sixth position.

“Our target from the initial stage was breaking into the top four,” Ngwaogu told Goal.

“That's exactly what we are working for. We lost some points at home. If only we had secured victories in our home loss to El Kanemi Warriors and two others draws by now we should be comfortable at the top of the league.

“We could not realise our desire to finish in the top four at the end of the first stanza. However, we are on course as we hope to make it happen in the second round.”
