Abiodun Adebayo says Abia Warriors are playing catch up to other Nigeria Professional Football League title contenders.

The Ucendu Babes sit in sixth position, six points behind leaders Plateau United, with 19 games left to play in the season.

And the defender states that getting positive results from every match is very important to their cause.

“We are playing catch up, so every match is very important for us. With six points less than Plateau United every match is like a final for us," Adebayo told Goal

“We really did well towards the end of the first round of matches and hope to carry on the form to the business end of the season.

“I think that winning our last match against Wikki Tourists shows how we are doing well and how we want to battle for the top of the table.

“Nothing changes now. We know that three points are important for us in every game from now on.
