ABS' Adeshina Gata sets goal target

The Ilorin side’s captain says he will like to remain in the elite division after his side got demoted last season

ABS's Adeshina Gata has set a target of eight goals in the second round of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Gata played a major role in the Saraki Boys' run in the first half of the campaign, registering two goals.

But he is sure of improving on his goalscoring return in the concluding part of the campaign.

"I have made it a priority to score eight goals in the second round of the season. It's a possibility for me. With prayer, hard work, dedication and determination my target will be a reality. I will also need the support of my coaches and teammates," Gata told Goal.

"People might think it's an unachievable dream considering the fact that I managed just two goals in the first round. Great men are made from trying to fulfil tall dreams.

"The journey starts with the game against El Kanemi Warriors in Week 20. I hope our fans will come out in their thousands to see their son score and help ABS improve their position in the table," he concluded.
