Abu Kamara Rangers transfer update as Norwich boss quizzed on interest and omission
Rangers target Abu Kamara was once again left out of Norwich's squad as they took on Crystal Palace last night.
The winger was omitted from the matchday squad as the Canaries played out a draw with Sheffield United in the Championship on Saturday and was once again conspicuous by his absence for the EFL cup second round clash last night. Football Scotland told last week how the 21-year-old was on Philippe Clement's list of potential signings.
A deal for around £2million was seen as possible but Rangers would have to move players on. Ben Davies has since departed on a season-long loan to Birmignham, Scott Wright is set to join the club permanently and Todd Cantwell is in talks with Blackburn about a return to the English Championship.
Norwich boss Jonannes Hoff Thorup was quizzed on interest in Kamara and his omission last night. And he insists his club will hold out for the right offer.
He told Pink ‘Un: “I know there is interest, more or less from the beginning of the window. But, like I said, it requires a good offer (to sign him). An offer we can accept and that we think is fair towards his value to the team and, of course, his transfer value.
“We have to wait and see. There is interest. For now, he is not ready to play with the team. He’s training every day with us. But, with all this happening to him, we just leave this distraction at home.”
