Achraf Hakimi has warned his PSG teammates over Arsenal's quality and main threats ahead of their Champions League meeting at the Emirates Stadium tonight (8pm).

The teams will meet for the first time since 2016, with Arsenal looking for a first win in the revamped competition after their stalemate to Atalanta last month. PSG, meanwhile, grabbed a last-gasp winner against Girona courtesy of an own-goal after being challenged throughout.

Morocco international, Hakimi, expects a similar contest against Mikel Arteta's men. "We know that Arsenal are a very difficult side to play against," he said during PSG's pre-match press-conference.

He added: "These three points are important, especially with this new Champions League format. It's going to be a tough game, with a lot at stake and I think it will be a great game for the neutrals. We know that they're very good at set-pieces, and we also know that at this level every little detail will be important.

"But we're focused and ready for this match. We also know there will be a lot of intensity.

"I think they're similar to Girona in the way they play as they like to have the ball and they like to attack. They also put a lot of speed into their passing."

Being one of the captains, and one of the more experienced players among youngsters in the PSG squad, the 25-year-old is keen to take on that responsibility to the pitch. He added: "I'm one of the captains of this team, and I'm also one of the most experienced players in the squad, so I know I have an important role to play this season, both on and off the pitch. I'm happy to take on these responsibilities."
