Adam Idah loved silencing Hearts fans as Celtic striker explains celebration
Adam Idah admits he loved silencing Hearts fans after being targeted with missiles from the home crowd.
The Celtic striker climbed off the bench to net a brace as Brendan Rodgers' side cruised to a 4-1 win at Tynecastle on Saturday night. And the Republic of Ireland international couldn't resist dishing out a 'Shhh' gesture in front of the Jambos end after claiming coins were aimed at him as he warmed up on the sidelines and after his two goals.
Idah, 23, was fortunate to escape unharmed but said: "I definitely enjoyed it. They were giving me a bit when I was warming up so I thought I'd give a bit back. I could probably buy all my Christmas presents with the amount of coins on the pitch. But it's a bit of banter and I was happy to celebrate in front of both sets of fans.

"You want to make an impact. I was delighted to get the goals and three points. It was a good night overall. It's always tough when the international break comes, you have people who are coming off long flights, and the training is probably not up to speed.
"In the first half it wasn't great, it was a bit slow. But in the second half we came out and showed what we are all about."
The £9million man has had to be patient this season, with Kyogo starting the majority of games up front. However, Idah's Gorgie double moved him onto seven goals for the season ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Club Brugge.
The powerhouse frontman was also relieved to make amends from last season's missed penalty, which was saved by Zander Clark. He added: "It was nice to make amends. It was in my head when I stepped up to take it. I knew I wanted to score to put it right. Thankfully I did that and I was really pleased with the two goals.
"With the squad we've got, everyone is capable of playing their part. This game showed the depth again. A couple of us spoke about it the other day, you could play absolutely anyone in the squad from the start.
"Everyone has been fantastic. It's so good to have that with the amount of games we have and with Europe. We know this period is going to be busy, and it's really important for us to stick together. Everyone will be needed to play their part."
