Irishman Roche, 28, the son of Tour de France and Giro d'Italia winner Stephen, is a former national time trial and road race champion.

He finished 12th on the Vuelta a Espana, 17:50 behind winner Alberto Contador, and also an impressive 12th in the GC of the Tour de France this year.

He was second in the road race and third in the time trial at the Irish national championships this year.

Also featuring for the French squad in Limburg on September 16 is Christophe Riblon, 31.

Riblon, who has also competed as a track cyclist, was second in the time trial at the 2011 French national championships and won stage 14 of the 2010 Tour de France with a mountain-top finish at the Ax-3 Domaines ski resort in the Pyrenees.

Also selected by Ag2r-La Mondiale are all-rounders Maxime Bouet, Jean-Christophe Peraud (both France) and Matteo Montaguti (Italy). Time trialler/climber Sylvain Georges of France completes the line-up.

Peraud was ninth overall on the 2011 Tour while Montaguti won the mountains classifications at this year's Critérium International and Tour de Suisse.
