Agent blocked Man Utd from signing Serie A goal machine in January; they had an £88.8m bid accepted
The agent of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic reportedly blocked a big-money January switch to Manchester United, according to reports.
The 23-year-old goal machine has spent just over a year with the Italian giants, after joining from Fiorentina on a £72m deal at the beginning of the current campaign.
The Serbia international has been in tremendous form in Serie A this season, so he would have been a monumental addition for Erik ten Hag.
Indeed, this season, the 23-year-old has scored an impressive 10 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this term, along with making three assists, giving him an impressive average of 0.62 goal contributions per game.
Along with United, Chelsea have also registered an interest in signing Vlahovic, but it seems the Red Devils came very close to sealing a stunning winter switch.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Juventus accepted an offer between €100m (£88.8m) and €120m (£106.5m) for Vlahovic from an unnamed Premier League club, believed to be Man Utd.
Both clubs are said to have been in advanced negotiations, but the report adds that Vlahovic’s agent brought talks to a halt and blocked the Serbian from completing a big-money move to England.

United prefer Vlahovic to Osimhen and Kane
In January, Ten Hag brought in Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley to bolster his front line, after Cristiano Ronaldo left United by mutual consent in November.
However, the Dutch centre-forward has so far failed to score a Premier League goal for the Red Devils, after making six appearances.
As a result, United are thought to be keen to bring in another quality striker for next season – someone who could link up effectively with Marcus Rashford, who is in the form of his career at the moment.
The Manchester club have previously targeted Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane as a potential addition, but with him turning 30 this year, there are concerns that he is not really a long-term option.
Alternatively, they have also been linked with a sensational move for electric Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has scored an incredible 18 goals in 19 Serie A outings this term.
But, it seems United we’re instead looking to bring in Vlahovic in January, who would have been a fantastic addition, and could’ve given them the firepower necessary to push for the Premier League title.
Despite his agent rejecting a winter switch, United continue to be linked with Vlahovic, so there is a good chance that they will go back in for him this summer
Recent reports suggest that Real Madrid are also interested in signing the Serbian, so United may have to battle them, and Chelsea, for his signature.
