Bayern Munich are “preparing” to make a huge bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, a British agent has claimed.

Kane has been linked with a move to the German champions following the summer departure of Robert Lewandowski.

While a move to Bayern would give Kane a great chance to win some silverware, you get the impression that he really wants to become the all-time leading Premier League scorer.

The 29-year-old is currently on 194 goals, 66 behind record holder Alan Shearer.

Kane is the only current player in the top ten and one of 33 to reach 100 Premier League goals.

His teammate Heung-min Son will probably become the next player to join the 100 club, as he is currently four goals shy.

Son has also been linked with a Tottenham exit in recent months, with a recent report claiming that he wants to leave with Real Madrid interested.

The South Korean has struggled in front of goal this term, netting in only two of his 19 appearances.

Kane, on the other hand, is flying.

The England captain has 11 in 14 Premier League matches having only failed to score in four top-flight encounters in 2022-23.

Tottenham fought off interest from Manchester City last year, with Kane believed to be pushing to join Pep Guardiola’s side.

City did not meet Spurs’ transfer valuation, however, meaning Kane had to awkwardly return to Hotspur Way for the 21-22 campaign.

He was not his usual self at the beginning of last season before Antonio Conte’s arrival.

In 56 matches under the Italian head coach, the 29-year-old striker has 32 goals and 13 assists.

As one of the best strikers in world football, Kane has a wonderful reputation and it is no surprise to see Bayern Munich reportedly interested.

Speaking to CaughtOffside, agent Haydn Dodge has said the Bundesliga giants are “preparing to make a big play to sign him”.

Dodge says that after bizarrely stating that Dejan Kulusevski is Spurs’ best player, not Kane.

“Dejan Kulusevski is their best player by some distance at this moment in time,” Dodge said.

“He was on the bench against Liverpool and in my opinion, shouldn’t have been, because if you’re fit enough to sit on the bench, you’re fit enough to start the game.

“I know some fans will argue and say ‘well, what about Harry Kane? – He’s Spurs’ best player’ – Yes, of course, Kane is up there.

“We all know he’s a top-class player but Bayern Munich are preparing to make a big play to sign him.”

Spurs were believed to be asking for around £150million to sell Kane to City last year.

However, with his contract expiring in 2024, the Premier League club may struggle to get that sort of fee if he wants to pursue a move to Bayern.

Having said that, Daniel Levy will not back down and will be sure to get a fee that represents how important he is to Tottenham.
