AN AIRLINE has taken a dig at Rangers' devastating Europa League loss.

The official Twitter account for Ryanair has posted several controversial tweets.

Things started off with a man getting in touch to sarcastically ask how much the Irish airline charge to bring a trophy on a flight.

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Eintracht Frankfurt players arriving at a German airport with their silverware, following their successful win against Rangers in Seville on Wednesday night.

Ryanair replied: "Trophy free, we'll charge for Rangers tears instead."

In the comments of the tweet, the airline continues to make fun of the situation.

Someone said: "Wow, I see Ryanair woke up and chose violence", with the airline replying "onion tears", making a dig at Rangers' fan group Union Bears.

Another person said "crying", and the airline asked: "You a Rangers fan too?"

But one Rangers supporter hit back.

They wrote: "Won’t be flying with you again, our fans gave you millions over the years and this is how you treat us. What a disgrace, really unhappy with this and will be taking my custom to KLM."

Ryanair confirmed the Tweets were official after being asked by the Glasgow Times.
