Ajax vs Liverpool LIVE: Result and reaction from Champions League fixture tonight

Liverpool are taking on Ajax this evening in Amsterdam as their Champions League campaign gets under way.

They do so without Virgil van Dijk in their first match since the ACL injury which has ruled him out for several months. Liverpool are also without Joel Matip, Alisson Becker and Thiago Alcantara. Ajax are not the quite the same team that reached the Champions League semi-finals 18 months ago, but the Dutch champions come into the game on the back of a 5-1 thrashing of Herenveen this weekend in which Dusan Tadic scored two goals.
