Albion Rrahmani 'holds talks' with Rangers over summer transfer as Nils Koppen learns asking price

Albion Rrahmani has reportedly held further talks with Rangers over a potential summer transfer switch.

The Rapid Bucharest striker, 23, had a strong campaign in Romania where he hit 17 goals for the club. Now, though, it looks like former Celtic boss Neil Lennon - now in post as Rapid manager - is likely to lose the Kosovo international who plans to move in the coming weeks.

According to reports, Gers' recruitment chief Nils Koppen has held discussions with Rrahmani's representatives, KT Management, over a summer move after they met in Cancun at the TransferRoom summit. We told how Koppen had made the trip to also seek conversations regarding Damian Garcia at Penarol.

It's been claimed recently that Czech side Slavia Prague have internally spoken about the player and a £2.5million bid could be in the offing for his services. The same report, however, suggests that Rapid are holding out for a record-breaking sale closer to the £6.8million mark.

Rangers are claimed to be "favourites" as they can splash out more than their opponents.
