Alexander Isak interest, Frenkie de Jong hope, Arsenal summer transfer plans, Man Utd team news

If you'd offered Mikel Arteta the chance to be in this position at the start of the season he probably would have taken it. With two games to go Arsenal sit top of the Premier League, but knowing they need a slip up from Manchester City in order to win a first title in 20 years.

With the margins so fine though, it's hard not to wonder what might have been if the Gunners had been more clinical in earlier games in the season. This is what senior figures at the club feel and it's why they're going to be on the lookout for a forward player this summer. Alexander Isak has been among the names considered.

Also Arsenal are expecting to be active in the midfield where Frenkie de Jong has been linked. A lot could depend on who leaves the club, but some summer deals are already in the works.

For now though, Arteta's main focus will be on Sunday where Arsenal travel to Old Trafford knowing only a win will do. That could be made tougher if Takehiro Tomiyasu is unavailable after the Japan international missed out on the early part of training on Tuesday.
