Nobody likes to get a busted lip, but fans seem to think Alexis Sanchez might be making a bit of a meal of his.
The Arsenal star was hit by the ball from close range from a Christian Fuchs throw-in as the Gunners beat Leicester on Wednesday night, and promptly went to ground, with Arsene Wenger suggesting the blow had been deliberate.
After the game, Sanchez posted a picture of his lip to Twitter – an injury Wenger said came not from Fuch’s throw but from a separate incident with Robert Huth.
Feliz por la victoria pero termine con el labio hinchado 😂😢happy for the victory but ended up with a swollen lip 😂😂👍🏼⚽️ pic.twitter.com/0y301Ztnp9

If the picture was supposed to get fans onside, the move may have backfired.

Mornin. Thinking of Alexis Sanchez after his horror injury last night that saw him collapse to the floor. He's shared an x-rated pic too. 😳 pic.twitter.com/58L7Io3mXv

There was one very serious consequence, though – as this Twitter user pointed out.

Let’s hope Gary Lineker never picks up a similar injury.
Arsenal won the game 1-0 thanks to a deflected effort from Nacho Monreal.
