Ally McCoist has told a fellow talkSPORT pundit that he's talking nonsense as he hit back at the 'Penalty to Rangers' narrative.

Radio motormouth Adrian Durham was on the wind-up during the Breakfast Show this morning as the pair discussed Celtic's win against Hearts. The Hoops maintained their five-point lead over Gers by overcoming the struggling Jambos 2-0, although two VAR spot-kick calls went in their favour.

And Durham couldn't help but tease McCoist by suggesting that the Ibrox club benefit most from penalty decisions in Scottish football. Durham joked: "I do say the same about Rangers when they get a penalty as well. Actually, Rangers are traditionally the ones who get the most penalties in the Scottish Premiership..."

McCoist immediately jumped in, arguing: "Don't talk a lot of nonsense Adrian! We've not had a penalty at Celtic Park in about seven years! I swear to God, it's ridiculous. And they've had about seven penalties at Ibrox."

But Durham managed to get the last word as he poked fun at the gulf between Rangers and Celtic, adding: "You've got to get into the box to get a penalty. Maybe Rangers should try doing that at Celtic Park."
