Lindsey Vonn, Ted Ligety, Julia Mancuso and Mikaela Shiffrin are the major names in the 19-strong group.

Nine of the team members have been on the podium early this season, with a total of 15 wins between them.

"It's a very special group of athletes, who have worked hard with all the staff to reach the top positions in this World Cup," said the US team's Alpine program director Patrick Riml.
