A new America’s Got Talent spinoff is coming our way.
NBC has revealed that a new spinoff titled AGT: Fantasy League is set to premiere in early 2024.
The show, which borrows a little from The Voice's format, will see judges choose acts to mentor from a pool of former winners, finalists, and fan favourites from the Got Talent franchises across the world.
The acts and the judges will then compete against each other to determine a winner. Judges for the series will be Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Mel B. Terry Crews will host.
Fans will also get a say on who competes, with viewers able to suggest names who on the AGT app after the main show's season finale on September 27.
AGT: Fantasy League will air in early 2024 and occupy the midseason spot which spinoff AGT: All-Stars held last year. However, The Hollywood Reporter adds that All-Stars could still return in 2024.
Meanwhile, America’s Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara recently walked off stage during filmng after a jibe from fellow judge Howie Mandel.
In a segment during last Wednesday's results show (September 18), Vergara was taking a lie detector test when Mandel asked her if there was anyone in the audience she was "interested in".
Vergara responded, "That's it!", before jokingly storming off back to the judges' table.
America’s Got Talent airs on NBC in the US.
