Andre Onana shows true colours after being left out by Man Utd against Leicester City
Andre Onana was given a night off by Ruud van Nistelrooy on Wednesday but showed his commitment by getting out on the pitch to help his fellow keepers warm up.
First-choice keeper Onana was one of four members of Erik ten Hag's final United XI not to be named in Van Nistelrooy's first line-up as interim manager. Rasmus Hojlund and Noussair Mazraoui came off the bench in a 5-2 victory against Leicester City, but Onana and Christian Eriksen weren't part of the matchday squad.
Altay Bayindir started against Leicester, with veteran Tom Heaton on the bench. Bayindir had some nervy moments in just his second start of the season., but it didn't matter and two goals apiece from Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes helped see United through.

Few would have begrudged Onana a night off, given his near ever-present status since joining United in 2023. And yet, as Bayindir and Heaton got put through their paces, the Cameroon international was out there getting them ready for action.
The bulk of the goals at Old Trafford on Wednesday came before half-time. Casemiro scored twice before the break, with Alejandro Garnacho and captain Fernandes also on target, while Bilal El Khannouss and Conor Coady netted for the Foxes.
Fernandes scored his second of the night shortly before the hour mark, capitalising on a loose backpass before rounding goalkeeper Danny Ward and slamming the ball home. That was the end of the scoring.
