Montreal Canadiens forward Andrew Shaw showed frustration with a late-game hooking call in his team’s 2-1 Tuesday loss at the Anaheim Ducks.

With the Ducks leading 2-1 and the Canadiens pressing for the tying goal, Shaw hooked Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen 27.4 seconds left and was sent to the penalty box. There, Shaw banged his stick against the glass and then broke it over his knee, all while appearing to shout obscenities.

Shaw was then given a misconduct penalty and on his way to the Canadiens locker room, he decided to punch the team’s stick rack.

On the ensuing face-off, Ducks forward Antoine Vermette was called for high sticking against Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov, which ended the Ducks’ advantage and gave the Canadiens another shot at tying the game.

It was Shaw’s goal at the 18:00 mark of the third period got the Canadiens to within one.
