Andriato wins Chateauroux Classic de l'Indre

Brazilian rider Rafael Andriato (Farnese Vini) won the Chateauroux Classic de l'Indre, the latest race in the Coupe de France series.

The sprinter took the victory ahead of Yauheni Hutarovich (FDJ-BigMat), Yohann Gene (Europcar) and Lucas Sebastian Haedo (Saxo Bank).

A break of forty riders got ahead early in the race from which six riders attacked – including the likes of Jeremy Roy (FDJ-Bigmat), Julien Antomarchi (La Pomme-Marseille) and Damine Gaudin (Europcar).

However, the race went down to a sprint finish and Andriato picked up the victory despite having only turned professional at the start of the season.

Dumouloin Samuel (Cofidis) finished 12th which was enough for him to extend his lead at the top of the Coupe de France standings to Dumouloin Samuel (Cofidis) with just three races left in the 16 race series.
