Andy Murray has made a plea to Iberia Airways to find his missing tennis rackets after they went missing after he landed in Spain ahead of the Madrid Open.
The former world No 1 made a surprise decision to take a wildcard into the Madrid event, after initially suggesting he would not play on clay courts this season.
Now the Brit has had his plans for his first clay action of 2022 disrupted by Iberia Airlines losing his bags, including his precious Head tennis rackets and equipment.
@Iberia what number or email should passengers use to contact for missing baggage? I need my tennis rackets back 😁

Murray’s issues while travelling are nothing new, after he lost his wedding ring last year while preparing for a match at the Indian Wells Masters before it eventually turned up when security at his hotel ‘found’ the item after an extra search.
This latest misplaced item might be slightly valuable, but it is clearly a problem Murray could do without as he needs time to practice on the clay ahead of what is likely to be a bid to play at the French Open later this month.
The airline have since located Murray’s lost luggage and reunited him with his rackets.
Murray hit the practice courts in Madrid on Thursday afternoon after seeing his misplaced property returned.
