Andy Reid in stable condition after leaving stadium in ambulance with illness
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is doing well and in stable condition after leaving Arrowhead Stadium with an illness, the Chiefs announced Sunday night.
Reid had left the stadium in an ambulance due to feeling ill after Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to NFL Network's James Palmer. The situation seemed to be more precautionary than serious, as Chiefs players were reportedly told their coach should be OK.
Head Coach Andy Reid felt ill at the conclusion of the game. He was evaluated by our medical staff in the locker room, & as a precaution, was transported to The University of Kansas Health System for further evaluation. Coach is doing well, currently resting & in stable condition

The 63-year-old Reid was apparently well enough to stay on the sideline during the game, a 30-24 Chiefs loss that knocked the team down to 1-2 and last place in the AFC West.
It was a frustrating game for Reid's team, which committed turnovers on its first three drives and allowed four touchdowns by Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. A pass interference penalty on fourth-and-9 allowed the Chargers' game-winning drive to continue and the game ended on a failed Hail Mary attempt.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes told reporters after the game that Reid "seemed fine" during and after the game, per Fox 4's Harold Kuntz. Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu also tweeted prayers for the coach's health:
I’m praying for my Head Coach & I’m hoping you can send up prayers with me!! One of the best men & teachers I’ve been around!!! GOD please show us your mercy!
