Ange Postecoglou joked he expects a lively reception at Ibrox after Tottenham were drawn against Rangers in the Europa League.

The former Celtic boss will return to Glasgow this season in a box-office Euro clash in Govan with the date set to be announced on Saturday morning. Postecoglou was back north of the border earlier this summer as Spurs thrashed Hearts 5-1 in a pre-season friendly at Tynecastle.

But the Aussie is preparing for fireworks as he gets set to take his star-studded side to Ibrox. Postecoglou was a revelation during his two years at Parkhead and wrestled the title back from Rangers in his debut season. The 59-year-old then led the Hoops to a world-record eighth Treble before bowing out for White Hart Lane.

And speaking ahead of this weekend's trip to Premier League rivals Newcastle United, Big Ange reacted to the mouthwatering draw. He said: "Exciting. It's good to be a part of. Some good games. I am sure I will get a warm reception at Ibrox and they'll look forward to seeing me."
