Aniyikaye: FC IfeanyiUbah's win over Shooting Stars a memorable one

The 2016 Federation Cup champions have confirmed their test game date with the Port Harcourt side.

Adeleye Aniyikaye believes that FC IfeanyiUbah's victory over Shooting Stars will be 'remembered for a very long time'.

The Anambra Warriors had a poor start to the game after going down very early, but found their way back into the tie and, eventually ran out 2-1 victors at the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium.

With the win over the Oluyole Warriors, Yaw Preko's side are unbeaten in their last six games in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

“This is the level that we can play at. For me it would have been an undeserved loss because football was being unfair," Aniyikaye told Goal.

“It was a good game with an ending that will be remembered for a long time.

“We knew it would be difficult because they are very strong up front and will be fighting to climb up the table, although I can’t understand how we did not score before the break," he added.

“Football can sometimes be cruel but we showed courage.

“It was a happy day for all. Obaje had a great game and deserved it,” he concluded.
