Matchroom Boxing confirmed on Sunday afternoon that Anthony Joshua's rematch against Oleksandr Usyk will take place on August 20, with Saudi Arabia picked as the fight's venue. Joshua lost his WBA, IBF and WBO titles to Usyk in the first fight, and will look to reclaim his belts in Saudi Arabia again, as he did against Andy Ruiz back in December 2019.

AJ was on the wrong side of a unanimous decision against the Ukrainian, who stepped up to heavyweight in 2019 after unifying the cruiserweight division. Usyk's victory came via the judges, who scored the first London event 117-112, 116-112 and 115-113 in favour of the 35-year-old. Matchroom Boxing confirmed the rematch via social media, with the fight being billed 'The Rage on the Red Sea'.

It'll be Joshua's first fight since changing trainers, with the Olympic gold medalist opting for Robert Garcia as his new coach. Garcia previously insisted that AJ has a "mental problem" which has been holding him back. It'll also be the first fight since Joshua signed with DAZN to replace Sky Sports as his main broadcaster.
