There was some concern for Spurs though with Conte confirming that Ben Davies had suffered a slight injury - the club will hope that it proves not to be a significant issue when the nature of the knock becomes clear in the coming days.
“He finished the game with a bit of pain in his ankle,” Conte said after the match. “I hope it’s nothing too serious.”
Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster will not be able to fly back with the rest of the squad, after their positive Covid tests. In line with health regulations in South Korea, they will return to the UK once their isolation period ends later in the week.
Fellow new signing Ivan Perisic is also waiting to make his mark in a Spurs shirt, due to injury problems, but Conte expects him to play a role in Tottenham’s match at Ibrox next weekend.
Conte said: “The rest of the team is okay. We still have Bissouma and Forster out with COVID-19 but they will be back in London on Wednesday to train with us.
“Perisic we hope to give 20 or 30 minutes against Rangers.”
