Arne Engels shrugs off '£10m aye right' Hearts jibe as Celtic star silences Halkett and Shankland taunts
Arne Engels proved his composure in the big moments for Celtic in their 2-0 win over Hearts - despite attempts to put him off at the penalty spot.
The Hoops were awarded a spot-kick for a handball by James Penrice in the second-half of the action at Parkhead yesterday afternoon. New signing Engels had to wait a few awkward moments while Callum McGregor urged Reo Hatate to hand over the ball to let the Belgian strike.
As he waited for referee Colin Steven to blow the whistle to take his penalty, eagle-eyed supporters spotted Lawrence Shankland shouting, "Big pressure!" before the ball would eventually be knocked home.

And defender Craig Halkett also attempted to put his opponent off with a taunt of "£10million? Aye right," in reference to the midfielder's price tag he cost the Hoops to bring him in from Augsburg.
Neither jibe meant much to Engels, though, as he slotted the penalty into the bottom corner beyond Craig Gordon to give his side the lead.
Shankland had been left furious at the other end in the first-half of the game when his header, which cannoned off Liam Scales' arm, was initially given as a penalty before it was overturned by VAR.
