Arsenal 2022-23 Premier League fixtures: London battle begins season; two gruelling months stand out

The Arsenal 2022-23 Premier League fixtures have been released, putting the Gunners up against Crystal Palace on the first day of the season.
Mikel Arteta’s side made a lot of progress in the 2021-22 season, but just missed out on a Champions League place. They will now be hoping to go one better than their fifth-place finish.
The first step of their journey will be against Crystal Palace on Friday 5th August, for an 8pm kick-off.
Arsenal will then first play at home when Leicester visit on the following weekend. After having to recover from a shaky start in 2021-22, they will be hoping to hit the ground running instead this time.
The North London derbies against Tottenham will take place on October 1st at the Emirates Stadium and January 14th at the home of their rivals.
Before the break for the World Cup, Arsenal will travel to face Wolves in November. They will return with a home game against West Ham on Boxing Day.
Over the Christmas period, Arsenal are also due to face Brighton and Newcastle.
Their trickiest spells of fixtures appear to be in October and April. In both of those busy months, they will have to face each of the top two from last season’s table, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Their season will conclude with a home match against Wolves on May 28th. Only time will tell whether they could be in Champions League contention again by then.
All exact fixture dates are subject to change depending on TV schedules.
