Arsenal chance, Man City and Liverpool battle - Supercomputer predicts Premier League title winner
Arsenal face a third Premier League title disappointment as Manchester City have been predicted to gazump the Gunners to another top-flight crown, a supercomputer has revealed. Mikel Arteta's side have suffered at the hands of Pep Guardiola in each of the last two campaigns as they were edged out in the race to the summit.
Their wait for Premier League success is into a second decade after Arsene Wenger led Arsenal to an unbeaten season in 2003/04. Arteta's push in recent years has been the closest that the North London club have been to ending their wait for success in the league.
Liverpool have suffered in recent years with Jurgen Klopp's penultimate season forcing them to settle for Europa League qualification. They mounted a title challenge in his final year but tailed away towards the end of the season, although there is no expectation of a challenge under Arne Slot.

Bettingexpert's supercomputer, BETSiE, is not expecting the Anfield club to pose a threat to the top two this season either as the new Dutch head coach acclimatises to life in the Premier League.
The supercomputer simulated the league seasons 100,000 times taking into account things such as all match results from last season, pre-season outcomes as well as integrating the financial data and player values.
Liverpool have been tipped to finish third with 75 points, ahead of Chelsea in fourth, with Manchester United in fifth. While the Premier League was decided on the opening day last year, the technology believes it will be more cut and dry for Pep Guardiola.
City are predicted to win 26 of their games this season, amassing 84 points to pick up an unprecedented fifth consecutive top-flight crown. Arsenal will be forced to wait for success but their battle will be for second place with Liverpool.
The Gunners have been tipped to finish runners-up in the Premier League but only by the barest of margins ahead of their Merseyside counterparts.
The league probabilities see City dominate the standing with a whopping 68.3 per cent chance of winning the league compared to Arsenal and Liverpool's 15.2 per cent and 13.4 per cent respectively. The Gunners' chances of finishing second are just shy of 50 per cent (49 per cent) and clear of Liverpool who have a 42.9 per cent probability of finishing behind City.
