Arsenal can complete one more transfer before deadline day as Edu faces huge £50m decision
Arsenal have endured a very busy last 24 hours with a departure for Fabio Vieira confirmed and the announcement of Mikel Merino's arrival following shortly after. The Spain international had been at the centre of talks between Arsenal and Real Sociedad over the last few months with a huge breakthrough made last week.
A £31.7million (€37.5m) package deal was soon agreed upon which saw the Gunners officially announce his arrival on Tuesday. A club statement was also released for another midfield switch with Fabio Vieira re-joining former club Porto on a season-long loan.
Those two deals took Arsenal's summer transfer moves up to eight with David Raya, Tommy Setford and Riccardo Calafiori also joining on permanent deals. As for outgoings, Emile Smith Rowe has joined Fulham with Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares each sealing loan moves.
Though Edu has carefully managed the club's finances this summer, in line with their new strategy, at least one more arrival could be on the way. After finally strengthening in a position that was their priority, the Gunners could turn their attention onto signing a new winger with Simon Adingra and Kingsley Coman among the possible options.
With that being said, football.london has taken a look at all of the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours from Emirates Stadium.
Loan signing possible
Arsenal have recently showcased their eagerness to offset new signings by selling players. Riccardo Calafiori's arrival was only sanctioned once Emile Smith Rowe had agreed to an exit with Merino only given the green light to travel as Nketiah edged closer to an exit.

With that in mind, as Fabio Vieira has sealed a loan switch to Porto there could be space in the squad for a temporary arrival to come in.
football.london says: "If Arsenal are able to add an attacker into the fold without paying significant fees, it is certainly a scenario worth pursuing.
"Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman is a talented winger that is available with Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling two others that need their respective futures resolving with Manchester United and Chelsea in talks over a sensational swap deal.
"There is no guarantee that comes off though, and therefore the Gunners should absolutely be alert to any opportunities that may emerge in the final days of the summer window."
Adingra decision
One of the attackers that Arsenal have shown interest in is Brighton's Simon Adingra. With the Seagulls strengthening significantly this summer, a departure for the Ivorian is certainly a plausible outcome, even this late into the window.
football.london says: "Though Adingra is a very talented footballer, it seems a rather easy decision for Edu to make if that fee is what it would cost Arsenal to sign him permanently.
"As the Gunners looked to be haggling over the fine margins in the Merino deal, bringing Brighton's asking price down to anything below £40million seems very unlikely. With Reiss Nelson looking set to stay, Arsenal seem better off waiting for next summer's transfer window to make a big statement signing."
