Arsenal fans will finally be allowed back into Emirates Stadium next week, but only so they can watch their team on TV screens inside the stadium.

The Gunners are planning to show next week’s game at Manchester City in two separate hospitality areas at the stadium, with 368 fans able to attend.

Just like at bars and pubs across the country, those at the screening will have to adhere to strict social-distancing guidelines. Supporters will also be asked not to sing, shout or cheer loudly and to avoid hugging those not in their group of six.

Arsenal had been hoping to welcome fans back into the stadium to watch the team from the stands earlier this month. They had earmarked the game against Sheffield United on October 4 as a chance to bring supporters back but the Government pulled the plug on fans returning to watch live sport.

Arsenal, like many clubs, have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic as it has led to their match-day revenue drying up.

It is hoped fans coming to watch the game at bars in the stadium is a sign of how Arsenal are set up to safely welcome back supporters.

Until then Arsenal, like other clubs across the country, are only able to allow supporters to watch the team on TV screens at their ground.

Tickets for the Manchester City match start at £29 for those under the age of 16, while the cheapest for an adult is £49. They will be able to enjoy pizza and drinks in the Dial Square restaurant while watching the match and there is also the chance to have a photo with the Community Shield, which Arsenal won back in August by beating Liverpool at Wembley.

Fans wishing to push the boat out can pay £169, or book a booth for £179 per person, to watch the game in the WM Club restaurant. Tickets for this include a three-course meal, a photo with the FA Cup and a Q&A session with a club legend.

Supporters can only arrive an hour before kick-off and must leave 30 minutes after the match.

There will be strict protocols in place to ensure everyone’s safety, including temperature checks and track and trace.
