Marquinhos, 19, sent a tribute to the area of Brazil he grew up in with a clip on his social media.

Arsenal technical director Edu revealed after the deal was done that Marquinhos had been a long-term target for the Gunners, with the player set to push for a role in Mikel Arteta’s first-team during pre-season.
