Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been making the most of his brief summer holiday period by attending the 2024 Championship play-off final - but did so in a hilarious disguise.

The 26-year-old may have fallen down the pecking order in Mikel Arteta 's squad this past year, though it seems not to have diminished his love for the sport. He was seen amongst the festivities with Southampton supporters as the club secured promotion back to the Premier League by beating Leeds United 1-0.

He supports neither team having grown up a West Bromwich Albion supporter, though nonetheless sported a grizzly-looking long black hair and beard wig to enter popular boozing spot Boxpark Wembley before making his way into the Saints end of the ground. Former Bournemouth team-mate David Brooks started for Russell Martin's side, though was forced off with injury early on.

Supporters at the £140m-match and those who tuned into his attendance on social media were loving the effort from the goalkeeper, who has previously revealed his love for getting involved with supporters when on the field. Behind the goal instead of in front of it today, it looked like a refreshing change of pace for the Gunner.

With Southampton's victory, that now confirms the 20-club line-up including Arsenal that will make next season's Premier League. Joining them in promotion from the Championship are Leicester City and Ipswich Town.

Ramsdale won't be looking ahead to then just yet as he hopes to make Gareth Southgate's final 26-man squad for the European Championships this summer, though once complete there may be a question to answer regarding his Arsenal future.

Now firmly behind David Raya as the club's first-choice in goal, the shot-stopper has been linked to plenty of other top-flight teams.
