Arsenal have confirmed a triple injury boost ahead of Thursday night’s Premier League London derby against Crystal Palace, with Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey all closing in on comebacks.

Gabriel Martinelli: Arsenal have confirmed that the forward's ankle injury is not as bad as first feared.

The Brazilian turned his right ankle during the warm-up before Saturday's FA Cup tie against Newcastle, and was unable to play after being named in the starting lineup.

Martinelli left the pitch in tears, but Arsenal have announced the youngester "has progressed very well and we’re hoping that he will return to full training with the squad in the next few days."

While Martinelli is likely to miss the match versus Palace, he could be back in contention for the visit of Newcastle on Monday night.

Gabriel Magalhaes: Another boost for Arteta, with the Brazilian defender - who had to self-isolate after testing positive for Covid-19 - is healthy and back in full training and available for selection against Palace.

Thomas Partey: The £45million summer signing is closing in on a return to first-team football.

The midfielder has struggled with a left thigh injury, but is back in full training and will have a late fitness test before Thursday's game.

Arsenal players currently available in the squad: Leno, Runarsson; Bellerin, Cedric, Chambers, Gabriel, Holding, Luiz, Mustafi, Mari, Tierney; Ceballos, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Partey, Saka, Smith Rowe, Willock, Xhaka; Aubameyang, Balogun, Lacazette, Nelson, Nketiah, Pepe, Willian.
