Arsenal on Jamal Musiala transfer red alert over £120m summer move as 'rejected' update emerges
Arsenal and several top clubs from across Europe have been put on red alert by Jamal Musiala.
The highly-rated Germany international, who plays for Bayern Munich, is reported to have turned down the latest offer of a contract extension to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena. Musiala is tied down until 2026, but if they are unable to agree new terms then a high-profile transfer battle could ensue in the not-too-distant future.
Emerging reports from the Express flag up the latest development. Manchester City are billed as front-runners for Musiala on the proviso he leaves Bayern with £120million mooted as a potential transfer fee.
That would be a Premier League record. The Express namedrop Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United as three further potential suitors from the English top-flight, while Real Madrid are also said to be lurking.
Bayern are managed by none other than City hero Vincent Kompany. City have been tracking him for 12 months.
Musiala has dual nationality through his Nigerian-British father and played for England at age-group level right up to the Under-21s before choosing to represent Germany at senior level. He played for the host nation at Euro 2024 this summer and has totted-up 36 caps to date with six goals.

The former Southampton and Chelsea youngster has played 167 games for Bayern in all competitions. Musiala has 45 goals and 32 assists to show for his efforts with the German heavyweights.
He already has four Bundesliga medals to his name. Bayern are locked in discussions with his representatives.
However, as per The Express update, they are running out of time to complete an action plan. Musiala only has 20 months left to run on his contract.
