Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka says he is “100 per cent focused” on Switzerland’s Euro 2020 campaign and suggested his club future will be dealt with after the tournament.

Xhaka is a target for Roma, where he would join up with new manager Jose Mourinho, with the Italian side hoping to do a deal for round £15million, though Arsenal are thought to want closer than £20m.

The Serie A club have been pushing to tie up a deal ahead of Switzerland’s opening group game against Wales on Saturday.

However, when quizzed about the speculation on Friday, Xhaka said: “There are always rumours as soon as the transfer market opens but I don’t want to talk about my future.

“I am 100 per cent focused here with the national team... what happens afterwards, you will then get to know about it.”

As well as Wales, the Swiss have been drawn against Italy and Turkey in Group A, with half of the games to be played in Baku and the there half at Roma’s Stadio Olimpico.
