Mikel Arteta only has a few days on the training pitches at London Colney before Arsenal return to action. After clambering to victory against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday night, the Gunners now turn their attention to a potentially season-defining clash.

Arsenal will lock horns with Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon as the Premier League title race builds a head of steam. The Reds currently lead the title race, but they're closely followed by Manchester City, who are just one point short.

After losing to Bournemouth, the Gunners trail Arne Slot's side by four points – so Arteta will be determined to narrow that advantage this weekend. With that being said, football.london has looked at Arsenal's upcoming fixtures and how they compare to their title rivals.

Liverpool (H) – Premier League – Sunday, October 27

This is a huge game for Arsenal. After dropping points to Bournemouth over the weekend, the Gunners are now four points behind Liverpool in the title race. A defeat to Slot's side could prove devastating – especially if Manchester City, Aston Villa, Brighton and Chelsea enjoy wins.

Preston North End (A) – Carabao Cup – Wednesday, October 30

With so many injuries and fitness concerns, Arteta must consider how much he wants a cup run this season. The Spaniard must bare in mind that his side will have another long journey up north just a few days later.

Newcastle United (A) – Premier League – Saturday, November 2

Newcastle United have struggled to impress this season, so they'll need the St James' Park faithful on side. This is a 12:30pm kick-off too, so the Gunners will have very little time to prepare after a trip to Deepdale.

Inter Milan (A) – Champions League – Wednesday, November 6

Another away day for Arsenal! What a spectacle this will be. This is what the Champions League is all about. Locking horns with Europe's best at famous stadiums like the San Siro.

Chelsea (A) – Premier League – Sunday, November 10

Yes, that's right... Arsenal have ANOTHER away game. That's four in a row. It unfortunate, and this run could make or break the Gunners' season. They'll need their travelling fans to be right behind them every step of the way.
