Arsenal are gearing up for a return to Premier League action this weekend as they travel to face Bournemouth.

The Gunners take on the Cherries in their first fixture after October's international break and will be determined to secure all three points. Mikel Arteta's side beat Southampton in their last match before the international break and are currently third in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester City.

They're one point behind table-topping Liverpool. Arsenal have four Premier League fixtures between now and the start of the final international break of 2024. The Gunners will also be in Champions League and Carabao Cup action over the next few weeks before the next two-week hiatus.

There are still 31 more Premier League matches to play before Arsenal's season is over, while the Gunners will hope they can go one better than the previous two seasons and beat City to top honours. Here, football.london takes a look at how Arsenal's upcoming Premier League fixture list compared to their main title rivals;

Arsenal's next five fixtures

Bournemouth (A) - Saturday, October 19 at 5.30pm

Liverpool (H) - Sunday, October 27 at 4.30pm

Newcastle (A) - Saturday, November 2 at 12.30pm

Chelsea (A) - Sunday, November 10 at 4.30pm

Nott'm Forest (H) - Saturday, November 23 at 3pm

football.london verdict: These next five matches will see Arsenal go away from the Emirates three times, all of which will be tough places to get all three points. Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Chelsea will prove to be difficult opponents on their home ground, and the Gunners will have to be at their best to grab maximum points. Home fixtures against Liverpool and Nottingham Forest could result in six from six if last year's results are anything to go by, and a win against the Merseyside outfit, in particular, would represent a huge boost in this season's title race.
