Arsenal made it five wins in a row by thumping Norwich 5-0 at Carrow Road.

Arsenal took the lead early on through Bukayo Saka and they never looked back from there, controlling the whole match.

Tierney doubled their lead before half-time and the win was secured in the second-half when Saka scored again, and Alexandre Lacazette struck a late penalty before Emile Smith Rowe found the net right at the death, too.

Simon Collings was at Carrow Road to run the rule over Arsenal...

Aaron Ramsdale 6

Had very little to do really and, what he did have to contend with, he did with minimal fuss. Distribution, even in the wet, was solid.

Ben White 8

Forced to play at right-back given Arsenal’s Covid-19 issues and he had an excellent game. Brilliant in possession and didn’t give the Norwich attack a sniff.

Rob Holding 7

Came into the defence as White shifted to right-back. A good performance from the 26-year-old, who looked at home next to Gabriel.

Gabriel 7

Another strong performance from the Brazilian, who has just been a rock this season. Dominant in the air and good on the ball too.

Kieran Tierney 9

The Scot is back to his best and this performance underlined that. Was a threat all game going forward and took his goal so well.

Thomas Partey 8

Probably one of the Ghana international’s best games in a while and he looks much happier next to Xhaka. Passing was good and he broke up play well.

Granit Xhaka 7

Shaken off all rust after his injury and is now a regular in the side again. Put in a good shift in the heart of midfield and was solid in possession.

Bukayo Saka 9

Has gone up a gear in recent weeks and he was brilliant here. Gave Brandon Williams a torrid time at left-back. Took his two goals well.

Martin Odegaard 9 | Star man

Just pipped Saka and Tierney to man of the match. He was at the heart of all of Arsenal’s attacks and finished the game with two assists.

Gabriel Martinelli 7

The Brazilian is keeping Emile Smith Rowe out of the side and, on this evidence, you can see why. Had a goal ruled out for offside.

Alexandre Lacazette 8

Captain again and this was a very selfless performance from the Frenchman. He pulled Norwich’s centre-backs around and created space for others. Finished the game with a goal and an assist.

Substitutions

Mohamed Elneny (Partey 75’) 6

Came on to keep things tight in midfield. Did fine.

Nicolas Pepe (Saka 78’) 7

A good cameo from the winger, who setup Smith Rowe’s goal.

Emile Smith Rowe (Martinelli 82’) 7

Came off the bench to score in the final seconds. Becoming a super sub.

Subs not used: Leno, Tavares, Mari, Patino, Lokonga, Nketiah.
