Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League have grown even slimmer after Manchester City made it four wins out of four against Brentford.

For a brief moment, it looked as though the Gunners may have had the opportunity to leapfrog Pep Guardiola's side when Yoane Wissa headed the visitors into an early lead. However, a 13-minute brace in the middle of the first half by Erling Haaland ensured the points remained at the Etihad Stadium.

City are now the only team in the top flight to hold a 100 percent record after the opening four matches. Liverpool also had a 100 percent record before the start of the weekend, but Arne Slot suffered his first defeat as Nottingham Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the only goal to win it for the East Midlands club.

Those results combined have painted a good picture for City as they attempt to retain their Premier League crown again. According to Opta's Premier League Predictor, the Manchester club now have a whopping 88.5 percent chance of winning the title, which is up marginally from the 82.2 percent figure at the start of the season.

While the Gunners may have felt optimistic about their chances of dislodging City this season, their hopes of winning the league have been dashed from 12.2 percent at the beginning of the campaign to just 6.8 percent ahead of Sunday's North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Mikel Arteta's side remain the most likely club to challenge Guardiola's team, but the Blues' 100 percent start to the season has led the predictor to believe it is a mammoth task to unseat the champions.
