Arsenal defender William Saliba is not available for Sunday's visit of Liverpool in the Premier League, despite confusion with the top flight's Fantasy Premier League (FPL) app.

Players of the popular Premier League game have noticed that Saliba is not showing on the app as being suspended for this Sunday's clash with Arsenal. For those unaware of FPL, the app notifies players of the game which footballers will be missing from the next round of matches either due to suspensions, injuries or other reasons.

For instance, the app is showing that Bukayo Saka has a 50 percent chance of playing against Liverpool as he overcomes a hamstring issue. However, when FPL users click on Saliba's profile, no such warning appears, which makes it seem like he is available for selection.

Sadly for hopeful Arsenal fans who may now be optimistic that the red card has been rescinded, this lack of notification appears to be an oversight from the game, and Saliba will be out of action this weekend. Players who may have thought that Saliba was available tomorrow evening are no longer in a position to substitute him out of their team either.

The deadline for changes to teams passed earlier this weekend on Friday evening due to Leicester City's clash with East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest. Saliba will not pick up any points this weekend for teams who have selected him but should be automatically substituted for your first available sub so long as your team does not have less than three defenders in it, in which case the next available defender on your bench will be used instead.
