Arsenal must be prepared to offer Newcastle United three players as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Alexander Isak. The 25-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for a while now as he continues to impress in the Premier League.

Isak has scored three goals and provided an assist in his last four Premier League games, helping the Magpies finally break into the top half of the table. With the January transfer window on the horizon and Eddie Howe's side far from the Champions League qualification places, CaughtOffside claims that the Sweden international has caught Mikel Arteta's attention.

The report states that Arsenal are 'keen' on Isak, who has been given a £115m price tag, which the Gunners want to whittle down to £80m. CaughtOffside adds that the frontman isn't expected to force a move from St James' Park despite growing interest.

Isak also has a contract that keeps him in Tyneside until at least June 2028. So, with that being said, using Transfermarkt, football.london has looked at what players Arsenal could offer Newcastle in order to reach the Swede's asking price.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (£29m)

Tomiyasu missed most of last season with a calf problem, and he's played just six minutes this term. The defender is currently out with a knee injury, but if he can achieve match fitness by the new year, the Gunners could chip away at Isak's asking price by including him in a potential player-plus-cash deal.

Jakub Kiwior (£25m)

Despite playing such a key role in Arteta's side last season, Kiwior has failed to force himself back into the Arsenal lineup this season. The 24-year-old defender has played just nine times for the Gunners, averaging just over half an hour an appearance so far.

Kieran Tierney (£8m)

Tierney has recently returned to first-team training after suffering a nasty hamstring injury at the European Championships in the summer. The 27-year-old defender, who was an unused substitute in Arsenal's 5-1 win over Sporting CP on Wednesday night, would offer Newcastle the option to play Lewis Hall in central midfield – the position he played for the Chelsea academy.
