Omar Marmoush is reputedly desperate to join Mohamed Salah in the Premier League during the January transfer window amid reported interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Marmoush, 25, is an international teammate of the Liverpool forward and has spent the last seven years in Germany. After signing for Wolfsburg as a teenager, the attacker spent time on loan at St Pauli and Stuttgart before breaking into the first team in Lower Saxony.

On the back of that breakthrough season in the Bundesliga, he signed for Eintracht Frankfurt last summer and scored 17 goals across all competitions, including four in the Europa Conference League. Capable of playing on both flanks and behind a centre-forward, Marmoush is said to be attracting Premier League interest.

The Sunday Mirror reports that the Gunners and Spurs are keen on the Cairo native, who previously worked under Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner at Wolfsburg. He is said to be across developments amid doubts about Jean-Philippe Mateta's future, despite Marmoush barely playing for Glasner in Germany.

CAA Stellar notably represent the player, whose clients include Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney, Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson and Tottenham defender Ben Davies. Newcastle United are another club seemingly showing interest after a move to Nottingham Forest reportedly collapsed on transfer deadline day.

They had seemingly agreed a £20million deal to sign the striker before Frankfurt purportedly upped their asking price to a number Forest did not match. He had been considered desperate to join Salah in England before that development and is said to be understandably frustrated that a move did not materialise.

Brentford also reportedly bid for Marmoush in the summer of 2022, according to Sky Germany, after his spell on loan at Stuttgart. They instead signed Keane Lewis-Potter from Hull City for £16million, with Wolfsburg wanting to reintegrate the player.
