Arsenal were back on their London Colney training pitch on Wednesday as Mikel Arteta stepped up preparations for the FA Cup final.

The Gunners face rivals Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday, looking to win the world's oldest football competition for a record 14th time.

Both Arteta and Frank Lampard are vying to claim their first piece of silverware as a manager, the former midfielders currently enjoying their first seasons in the job.

The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe were all on show, while some fans claim summer signing William Saliba can be spotted in the background.

Dani Ceballos was also front on centre on the same day, as reported by Standard Sport, Arsenal's hopes of keeping the on-loan Real Madrid midfielder for another season grew. But Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi were both absent, despite the German being involved in training last week.

It will be a FA Cup final like no other due to the current restrictions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

This means, along with a lack of fans in the stands, Arsenal and Chelsea players’ family and friends will not be able to attend the game. The same goes for relatives of the match officials and it is partly why Anthony Taylor will be the referee.

Ten players per club outside the match-day squad can attend, which means those injured, such as Shkodran Mustafi and Gabriel Martinelli can watch.
