Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid
Europa League semi-final, first leg
Thursday, 8.05pm BST
Emirates Stadium

Arsenal are potentially just 180 minutes away from their third European final under Arsene Wenger, as they take on Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid on Thursday night.

This is Wenger’s final opportunity to win European silverware for the Gunners, with the Frenchman advocating his 22-year stay, but the chance to reach another final also holds significance in Madrid.

While Atletico and Simeone won this competing in 2011-12, two defeats in the Champions League final (2013-14, 2015-16) have the left the club with unfinished business in Europe.

We’ll be live at London Colney and the Emirates Stadium today for all of the press briefings and more, with James Olley and James Benge in attendance.

Stay tuned to Standard Sport for all of the build-up….
