Arsenal begin a huge week with a tough Premier League home tie against Leicester City in north London tonight.

Mikel Arteta's Gunners have hit form with four straight wins in all competitions, leaving themselves in the FA Cup semi-finals and seventh in the League table, six points off the provisional Champions League places.

But Arsenal now face two key fixtures which could decide their League fate this week, with Brendan Rodgers' high-flying Foxes up on Tuesday before a north London derby against Jose Mourinho's Tottenham on Sunday.

Tuesday's clash will also pit Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Jamie Vardy against each other as the two striker compete for the Golden Boot.

Date, time and venue

Arsenal vs Leicester City is scheduled for an 8:15 pm BST kick-off on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at Emirates Stadium with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

Arteta has been tight-lipped on when Mesut Ozil (back) and Matteo Guendouzi (dropped) will return to his squad.

Nicolas Pepe missed the win at Wolves due to becoming a father, though the winger may return for this game.

As for Leicester, Ricardo Pereira (knee) and Daniel Amartey (ankle) are out.

James Maddison (groin) will be pushing for a start, as will Ben Chilwell (calf) and Ayoze Perez (ankle).

Both sides are coming into this game off the back of victories, but neither team will be completely confident at the back.

Expect an end-to-end game which will likely be decided by which of Aubameyang or Vardy take their chances.

Arsenal have won 16 of the 27 Premier League meetings between the two teams.
