Calum Chambers and Maitland-Niles have returned to training to ease Arsenal’s right-back crisis.

Arsenal were without all four of their right-back options for their win at Norwich as Maitland-Niles, Chambers, Cedric and Takehiro Tomiyasu all tested positive for Covid-19.

Ben White had to fill in at right-back, but Chambers and Maitland-Niles are back in training and could return.

As of Friday, the Gunners had reported no fresh Covid cases, which means they could field the same team who beat Norwich 5-0.

For City, Joao Cancelo has travelled to London and is available after a violent assault on the Portuguese at his family home left him with facial injuries.

Cancelo suffered cuts to the face after attempting to fight off a gang of robbers at his family home on Thursday. But he wishes to be considered for selection despite the incident.

Kyle Walker has returned to training after injury so should Guardiola choose to rest Cancelo, who can operate as either full-back, City could play the England international at right-back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Nathan Ake options at left-back.

Riyad Mahrez is available for what is likely to be the last time before he goes off to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Rodri and John Stones are back in training after fitness issues and should be available..

If the Gunners can produce another solid defensive display then they just might avoid a 10th straight Premier League defeat against City.
