Arsenal host Sunderland in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup tonight as football continues amid the escalating Covid-19 crisis.

Six Premier League matches were cancelled over the weekend, with Arsenal’s trip to Leeds the only one of six scheduled fixtures to go ahead on Saturday.

The Gunners continued their excellent recent form at Elland Road with a 4-1 victory and will be looking to book a semi-final spot here, having been handed a favourable draw against the only non-Premier League team left in the competition.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Arsenal vs Sunderland is scheduled for an 7:45pm GMT kick-off tonight - Tuesday December 21, 2021.

The match will take place at Emirates Stadium in north London.

Arsenal vs Sunderland prediction

It seems a given that Mikel Arteta will rotate his side due to the festive fixture pileup, but with no European football this season, the Spaniard is also surely desperate to go as far as possible in this competition and as long as his side are on it they should prove too good for the League One outfit.

Arsenal to win 2-0.
