Manchester United midfielder Ashley Young is 'not too sure' where his future lies but insists he is fully focused on the business end of his side's campaign. Young has been given a somewhat sustained run in the United first-team in recent weeks and helped Jose Mourinho's men blow the Premier League title race wide open with a 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday (16 April).

Despite his recent run of games, the former England international has only started six Premier League matches for Manchester United this season and could seek pastures new in order to get consistent game-time during the final part of his playing career.

Young was linked with a move to the Chinese Super League in the January transfer window but the former Aston Villa and Watford attacker is currently concentrating on giving his best for Mourinho as his side challenge for Champions League qualification and Europa League glory. The 31-year-old refused to give a clear answer regarding his summer plans and hinted that manager Mourinho will decided whether he remains at Old Trafford beyond the summer.

"There was of course, and there is always, speculation and especially when there is a transfer window and you are not playing," the Manchester United star told The Independent. "But I have always said that I want to play as much as possible. What the future holds I am not too sure. I am just concentrating on each game and when the manager calls on me I will give 100% and look to play as well as I can.

"I am looking to play as many games as I can between now and the end of the season. That is what I am concentrating on now. That is the main focus for me and then we will see what happens. I have fire and hunger in my belly. I want to succeed. I work hard. When you have such competition in a fantastic squad it pushes you on every day.

"If you watched training there are no challenges that are not like in a game. Everybody wants to pull on the shirt and I am no different. I have another year left on my contract and an option after that so if there is anything there to be discussed you would have to ask the manager."

While Young and Manchester United may need to come to a conclusion over his future at the end of the season, his immediate focus will be on the Red Devils' Europa League clash with Anderlecht on Thursday evening.

With a place in the top four unlikely, the Europa League could well be United's best chance of securing a place in the Champions League, and they could progress into the semi-finals of the competition with a positive result against the Belgian giants.
